I got my LG Stylo 3 Plus MetroPCS unlocked for free without using any unlock code or unlock tool. Beware of websites that sell fake unlock tools with a claim to unlock your phone.

LG Stylo 3 is sold by almost every prepaid carrier in the USA including MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Cricket, Boost, Straight Talk, etc. The method of unlocking varies for each and every carrier.

How to unlock LG Stylo 3 Plus MetroPCS / T-Mobile via Device Unlock App

I purchased a new LG Stylo 3 Plus MetroPCS MP450 from eBay and following the below procedure I was able to unlock it for free. You can give it a try if it doesn’t work then there is a paid solution to get your phone unlocked.

On your LG Stylo 3 Plus Home Screen, look for “MetroPCS” and open it.

Now click on “Device Unlock” to run it.

Tap on “ALLOW” to accept the app permission request

 

 

Now, Tap on Continue to proceed with the unlocking.

The app would connect to the server so it would require a data connection. Wifi is fine, cellular data is not mandatory.

Finally, click “Permanent Unlock” to permanently unlock your Stylo 3 Plus for all the GSM networks worldwide.

 

You can see, my unlock request got approved and after this only a Restart is needed to use the Stylo 3 Plus with other GSM carriers such as AT&T, Cricket, Straight Talk, etc
