So, let’s get going –

I’m stuck on the lock screen on my Moto G Fast. I don’t remember the screen lock password.

To bypass the lock screen we need to hard reset the phone via Recovery Mode. We cannot recover our phone without doing a factory reset.

To access the recovery mode, let’s turn off our Moto G Fast.

Long-press the power button on the right and tap “Power off” as shown above.

Once the phone is off, press the volume down + power keys to turn on the phone.

This will bring you to a black screen with the “START” option.

We need to use the volume rocker to move from “START” to “RECOVERY MODE”.

When “RECOVERY MODE” shows up on the screen, press the power button once.

Now, we are stuck on the “No Command” screen as shown above.

To reach the recovery mode, press and hold the power button. Keep holding the power key and tap the volume up button once.

Once you reach the “Recovery Mode” page, release both the keys.

Now, to reset the phone we need to move down from “Reboot system now” to “Wipe data/factory reset” using the volume down button.

After this, you need to press the power key once to select the “Wipe data” option.

Now, again move down from “Cancel” to “Factory data reset” and hit the power key once.

After the phone gets wiped, hit the power key one more time to restart the phone.

After a few minutes, my phone has reached the “Hi there” screen.

Let’s tap “START” to move ahead.

In the next step, connect your phone to the internet using Wifi or Mobile data.

Now, it’s getting our phone ready. We need to wait for a while.

Hit “Don’t copy” on the following page.

Now, it brings me to the screen lock password verification page. I don’t remember the lock screen password.

There is one more option on the screen – “Use my Google account instead”. Let’s choose this option.

On the next page, it’s asking to verify with the previously synced Google account on this device. Sign in with your Google account and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup wizard on your Moto G Fast.

However, if you don’t remember the Google account credentials then follow the below hack to get past the FRP Lock/Google verification on your Moto G Fast –
