LG Stylo 4 lock screen bypass -forgot password, pin, pattern lmq710

Are you locked out on your LG Stylo 4 due to a forgotten password, pin, or pattern? Don’t worry you are at the right place.

In this post, we are going to learn how to restore our Stylo 4 when locked out. First, of all let’s try to bypass the lock screen without reset. This way we can save the precious internal storage data from getting erased.

How to bypass LG Stylo 4 lock screen without reset

You can see I’m stuck on the LG Stylo 4 lock screen. I don’t remember the screen lock password.

After 5 failed attempts there is a wait time of 30 seconds.

I didn’t get any account recovery option in the form of “forgot password” or “Google account sign-in”.

I tried up to 50 times still I didn’t get any account recovery option. Only the wait time increased to 120 seconds.

This makes one thing clear, there is no way to bypass the LG Stylo 4 lock screen without reset.

To reset the phone we need to power off the phone and boot into recovery mode. Let’s see how to do this –

To put your LG Stylo 4 into Recovery Mode –

  • Long-press the power button on the right and select “Power off” to turn off the phone.

  • Once the phone is off, press the volume down and power button to turn it on.

  • As soon as the LG Stylo 4 shows up on the screen (or when the phone vibrates), release the power button and hold it once again.
  • Now, keep holding both the buttons until your reach the “Factory data reset” screen (During the whole process, don’t leave the volume down button).

  • Our Stylo 4 is now in the Recovery Mode.

In the recovery mode, the touch doesn’t work. We need to use the volume rocker and power buttons.

Move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume down key. Now, select the “Yes” option with the Power button.

Again move down from No to Yes and click the power button to reset the phone.

The phone is getting erased now. We need to wait for a few minutes.

Now, we have landed on the Welcome Screen.

Let’s use the forward button to move ahead.

In the next step, we need to connect to the internet via Wifi or Mobile data.

Tap “Set up as new” on the “Copy apps & data” page.

Once again, we are on the screen lock verification page. I don’t remember the password, so I’m going to use the 2nd option “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.

This brings us to the “Verify your account” page. This is the Google verification page. To get past this screen, we need to sign-in to the previously synced Google account on this device.

Sign-in with your last-synced Google account and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup wizard.

If you don’t remember the details of the last-synced Google account, then follow the below hack to bypass the Google lock screen –

How to bypass Google Verification on LG Stylo 4 2021 lm-q710

Let’s break the FRP (Factory Reset Protection) bypass process into 5 parts –

STEP 1: Use another phone to lock a SIM Card and insert this locked SIM in Stylo 4

We need a locked SIM card. I’m using LG K40 to lock a MetroPCS SIM

If you’re using an LG phone, Open the Settings app and go to the “Lock Screen & Security” page.

Now, scroll down and select “Set up SIM Card lock”.

On the next page, tap “Lock SIM Card” as shown above.

It’s asking for the current PIN. The default MetroPCS PIN is 1234

Type 1234 and hit “OK”.

The SIM card lock is enabled.

Now, insert this locked SIM in LG Stylo 4.

Use a SIM ejector tool to remove the SIM tray.

Place the SIM card in its slot as shown above.

STEP 2: Use another phone to send an Image file to Stylo 4 via Bluetooth

Once you insert the locked SIM in Stylo 4, it asks for the PIN code.

Enter the pin code of the MetroPCS SIM 1234 and click the “tick icon”.

Now, there is a notification on the screen “Not signed in”.

To unlock the screen, we need to swipe down starting from “Not signed in” to the bottom of the screen. Please follow the arrow in the above screenshot.

If done correctly, you’ll see a few quick access icons on the top. We need to long-press the Bluetooth icon.

This brings us to the Bluetooth page.  Turn on Bluetooth.

Now, we need another phone to send an image file to Stylo 4.

Once again, I’m using LG K40 to send a picture.

Let’s open the Gallery app and use the “Share icon” to send this Mymetro screenshot image.

You can send any image file.

Select the sharing medium as “Bluetooth”.

Now, select the available Bluetooth device i.e. “LG Stylo 4” to send this image.

On your LG Stylo 4, tap “ACCEPT” to receive this file.

Now, hit the “3 dots icon” on the top-right and select “Received files”.

The file name is “Screenshot.png”. Tap the file to open it.

Now, the default app is set as “Gallery”. But, we need to open it with the “Photos” app.

Select the “Photos” app to open this file.

STEP 3: Open the received file with the Photos app and get access to the Screen lock Setup page

Give necessary access to the Photos app by hitting “ALLOW”.

Now, tap the “Share icon” to send this file.

Choose the sharing medium as “Gmail”.

On the “Welcome to Gmail” page, tap “SKIP” and hit “Add an email address” on the next page.

We are now on the “Set up email” page.

Select the last option on this page – “Other”.

Now, enter any email address and click “NEXT”.

Select the account type as “Exchange”.

On the next page, look for the option “Client certificate” and tap the “SELECT” option in front of it.

A pop-up appears on the screen. It reads we need to change to a secure screen lock to move ahead.

Hit “CHANGE” to accept this request.

This brings us to the “Select Screen lock” page. Here we can add a new PIN, Pattern, or Password.

This new lock will replace the old screen lock.

Let’s add a new Screen PIN.

STEP 4: Add an easy to remember PIN, Pattern, or Password

On the “Secure start-up” page choose “No, thanks” and hit “NEXT”.

Now enter the Screen PIN. I’m setting up 1234 and the new PIN.

Confirm the PIN and select “OK”.

A confirmation appears on the screen – “Screen lock has been changed”.

Now, we need to go back to the first page.

STEP 5: Go back to the Welcome page and bypass the Google lock screen

Use the back button and keep going back until you reach the Welcome screen.

Once again we are on the welcome page.

Hit the forward arrow to move ahead.

Now, select “Set up as new”.

It’s asking for the Screen PIN.

Verify with the PIN we added in the last step i.e. 1234.

We have successfully verified the Screen lock PIN.

Now, we are on the Google sign-in page.

Use the “Skip” option on the bottom-left to skip the Google account setup.

Hit “Next” on the “Name” page.

Skip the Fingerprint setup at this stage, we can add it later.

Accept Google services terms and conditions.

The final page of the setup wizard is the Legal documents page.

Tick the “I agree” checkbox and tap “DONE” to finish the setup wizard.

We have successfully landed on the Stylo 4 home screen thus bypassing the lock screen.
