Step 4: Load LGUP Flashing tool using Uppercut
We’re going to use UPPERCUT to launch the LGUP flashing tool.
Open the UPPERCUT folder and locate the “UPPERCUT_1.0.0.0.exe” file to run.
Double click on the exe file to run.
Wait for it to load LGUP
LGUP is loading.
Step 5: Flash the kdz firmware using LGUP
In LGUP, you can notice the connected phone model i.e LGMP450 running on the firmware version MP45010c.
We’re to going to upgrade the Stylo 3 Plus firmware from MP45010c to MP45010f.
Under “File Path” tap on the “3 dots” icon to load the firmware file for flashing.
Browse for the downloaded kdz file i.e “MP45010f_00_0205.kdz” and open it in LGUP by double-clicking on it.
The kdz file is loaded for flashing.
Before starting the firmware update process, change the “Process” from “REFURBISH” to “UPGRADE”.
Now hit “Start”.
Do not unplug the USB data cable until the process is 100% completed.
At around 80 percent the phone would reboot as evident in the screenshot above.
Now the progress says 100%. The flashing is done.
We’ve upgraded the Stylo 3 Plus firmware from MP45010c to MP45010f.
