LG Stylo 3 Plus Resurrection Remix Custom ROM
Now that you’ve flashed Lineage OS custom ROM, you must have got familiar with the process.
The next ROM we’re going to try is the Resurrection Remix Custom ROM.
Resurrection Remix – Installation & User Interface
Resurrection Remix Custom ROM zip file – Thanks to cospalet@xda for making this awesome Custom ROM for LG Stylo 3 Plus. I found it even better than Lineage OS with more features and customizations. You can download the ROM from below link.
Google Apps Package zip file – If you’ve downloaded the Google Apps zip file for Lineage OS, you don’t have to download it again. Else, get it from below link
Follow the Lineage OS flashing process, where first, you’ve to Wipe Cache.
Next, we’ve to Flash “RR-N-v5.8.5-20180217-sf340n-Unofficial.zip” file as shown above
Then Flash the Google Apps Package which is “open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20180414.zip”
Resurrection Rom includes Magisk Root, so no need to flash Magisk.zip file.
RR ROM has got 2 Launchers, the default “Trebuchet” Launcher as shown above and the “Pixel” Launcher
The above screenshot is of the Pixel Launcher
Resurrection Remix – Performance & Features
Similar to Lineage OS, I found that NFC and VoLTE are not working in RR.
To get the Mobile data working, you need to reset default APN settings as done before for Lineage OS.
Above are the Antutu and Geekbench Scores for Resurrection Remix Custom ROM respectively.
You can see, the Geekbench scores are near about the same but the Antutu Benchmark score of Stock ROM (53572) is higher than that of RR (52016).
Out of the 5 Custom ROMs, I liked Resurrection Remix the most. It’s just as fluid as Lineage OS with added features. Check out the features of Resurrection Remix as compared to Stock ROM in the below video.
LG Stylo 3 Plus AICP Custom ROM
AICP – Installation & User Interface
AICP stands for Android Ice Cold Project. Out of the 5 Custom ROMs, I liked AICP the least. In this ROM, quite a few, essential features are not working.
AICP Custom ROM zip file – Thanks to cospalet@xda for making AICP for LG Stylo 3 Plus. You can download the zip file of Custom ROM from the following link
Google Apps Package zip file – If you’ve downloaded the Google Apps zip file for Lineage OS you don’t have to download it again. Else, get it from below link
Magisk Root zip file & Magisk Manager apk file – If you downloaded these files for Lineage OS no need to download it again. Else, get if from here –
Magisk.zip – DOWNLOAD
Magisk Manager.apk – DOWNLOAD
After Wiping Cache, Install aicp.zip file which is “aicp_sf340n-#1c.zip”
Now Flash the Google Apps Package, “open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20180414.zip”
I flashed Magisk.zip file after this but I found that it’s not installed after booting into AICP.
So after your first boot, turn off the phone, again boot into TWRP and flash Magisk.zip file to gain root.
AICP is a quite basic ROM with limited features similar to Lineage OS. It has got the default Lineage OS launcher which is a “Trebuchet” launcher.
You can see Magisk was not installed on the first boot.
So I flashed it again in TWRP and then I installed the Magisk Manager apk file to get root.
AICP – Performance & Features
Other than NFC and VoLTE many more features are not working in AICP Custom ROM.
Camera – There is no pre-installed camera app and even Google Camera failed when I tried to launch it
Fingerprint Sensor – When I tried to setup a Fingerprint lock, it couldn’t detect the finger at all.
Bluetooth File Transfer – I was able to send Bluetooth files, but I couldn’t receive a single file via Bluetooth. It got stuck at some point and never completed successfully.
Above are the Antutu and Geekbench scores for AICP ROM. Below are the respective Benchmark scores of Stock ROM.
In the below video you can check how does the AICP ROM work on LG Stylo 3 Plus –

Thanks for posting this detailed list of ROMs. Sadly, I use G pay all the time. Maybe that’ll get fixed at some point. I hope that I can get to Android Pie with a future update.
