How to bypass Google Account lock on Moto G Power 2022

The Motorola G Power series started in 2019 with Moto G7 Power. As the name suggests, power devices offer more battery life as compared to their counterparts.

This time we have the 4th iteration of the Power series, Motorola G Power 2022 XT2165 running on Android 11.

The Power series consists of Moto G7 Power XT1955, Moto G Power 2020 XT2041, Moto G Power 2021 XT2117 & the latest G Power 2022 XT2165.

All the Moto Power devices are now running on Android 10 or 11. In this post, we are going to use a common method to bypass the Google verification on Motorola Android 10 & 11 as follows –

I was locked out due to the forgotten password. To bypass the Moto G Power lock screen I did a factory reset with the volume down & power button.

Now, the factory reset is complete. Let’s finish the device setup to reach the home screen.

Hit “START” to begin the phone setup.

Then we need to connect our device to a Wifi network.

After a few minutes, you’ll reach the “Copy apps & data” screen. Click “Don’t copy”.

This time we are on the “Verify Password” screen. To proceed further I either need the lock screen password or the previously synced Google account.

I have forgotten these details. Let’s use the latest and easiest 2022 hack to bypass the Google verification on Motorola G Power Android 10 & 11 as follows –

To bypass the Google account, go back to the first page with the back key.

Now, tap the “Emergency Call” button and click on “EMERGENCY INFORMATION” two times.

When you reach the “Emergency Information” page, click the “pencil edit icon” on the top.

On the following screen, click on “Name – Owner”.

Now, hit the “profile picture icon” and select the 2nd option – “Choose an image”.

Now, we are on the “Recent” screen. Tap the “3 bar icon” located at the top-left corner.

Long press on “Drive” or “Photos” to land on the “App Info” screen.

Now, select “Permissions”.

The next page is – “App Permissions”. Hit the search button on the top and type settings.

When the results appear, go down to the bottom and choose – “Settings – App Info”.

Hit “Open” to launch the Settings app.

Now, click on “Apps & notifications” > “App Info”.

On the App Info screen, we are going to disable 2 apps.

First, open the “Android Setup” app and hit the “FORCE STOP” button.

Now, go one step back and open “Google Play Services”.

On the Google Play Services page, hit the “Disable” option.

After stopping the 2 apps, go 2 steps back to the Settings page.

Next, we need to open “Accessibility” > “Accessibility Menu”.

Turn on the “Accessibility Menu Shortcut” as shown above.

The shortcut button is visible in the bottom-right corner.

On some Motorola phones, there is no shortcut button. You need to do a 2 finger swipe-up gesture to launch the Accessibility Menu.

Now, click the back key multiple times to reach the first page.

On the “START” screen, tap the accessibility menu shortcut. If you don’t have the shortcut button, do the 2-finger swipe-up gesture from the bottom to launch the accessibility menu.

Now, click on “Assistant”.

It fails to open Google Assistant & shows an error – “Google Play Services Required”.

Hit “Settings” to proceed further.

Now, click the “Enable” button to turn on Google Play Services.

Again go back to the first page.

Click “START” to proceed.

When you reach the “Privacy & software updates” or “Copy apps & data” screen, click the back button once.

This will bring you to the “Connect to Wifi” page.

Use the “Skip” option on the “Connect to Wifi” screen.

Click on “Skip” then “Continue”.

We have successfully bypassed the Google account verification on Motorola G Power Android 10/11 without a computer.

Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.

Hit the “Skip” option on the “Set Screen lock” page. You can do it later.

Follow the on-screen prompts to reach the last page of the setup wizard.

Hit “Done” to reach the home screen.

We have successfully landed on the Moto G Power home screen thus bypassing the Google account verification.

Now, we can disable the accessibility menu shortcut.

Open Settings, and click on “Accessibility”.

Then select “Accessibility Menu”.

Turn off the shortcut as shown above.
